PURPOSE

Measurement of potential of metal underwater structures to tackle the tasks of electrocorrosion protection.

COMPOSITION AND PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The potential meter is made in the form of independent hermetically sealed device, in the front part of which the measuring electrodes are placed, in the rear part of which, the elements of control and indication. Its principle of operation is based on measurement of potential of various points of metal underwater structure relative to datum potential (of the earth). The metric results are indicated on the numeric panel and registered in the electronic memory of the device. Potential meter operator is a skin diver. To be operated by the diver the device is provided with the handle and eye (ring) for the halyard for safety measures.
